Find Out More2024 The 12th Man Chardonnay
Fruit from Lenswood, Piccadilly Valley and Lobethal in the Adelaide Hills was whole bunch pressed directly to French oak for wild fermentation. Matured in barrel for nine months with lees stirring to build complexity, this is a layered Chardonnay with lovely fruit purity. It is named after Greg Trott who resurrected Wirra Wirra from ruin in 1969 and was a cricket fanatic. Trott never fulfilled his dream of wearing a baggy green, but he would have made the ultimate 12th Man at any cricket ground if the drinks tray contained a crisp glass of this Adelaide Hills Chardonnay.
