2023 Bell Tower Touriga Tempranillo

From the Wirra Wirra estate in front of the winery, just outside the McLaren Vale township. Both Touriga and Tempranillo varietals are planted next to each other on the southern tip of the block. Biodynamically and organically farmed, the soil type is alluvial clay over Pirramimma sandstone and sits at 70m elevation.
On the palate, the sun-soaked, vine-ripened berries are balanced with savoury, dark cacao bean and an openhanded earthiness. Leather and dried fig feature as an easy acidity plays with a grip of open, ripe tannin. Pleasingly sanguine and lingering.
We hope you enjoy this new single vineyard release from Wirra Wirra.
