Grenache is one of the heritage grape varieties of McLaren Vale, grown in the region since the mid 1800s. These deep-rooted bush vines, planted in the early 1900s, are located just east of the winery on McMurtrie Road. Alluvial clay-loam soils allow dry farming with naturally low yields.
