2023 Yandra Single Vineyard Chardonnay
The Yandra Vineyard in Lenswood sits at 480m elevation with mixed gravel brown clay loam soil over heavy red clay. Planted in 1998 to the G9V7 clone, Yandra Vineyard is east facing, receiving morning sun and afternoon shade, ideal for Adelaide Hills Chardonnay.
On the palate, terrific natural acidity is cut with lemon curd, natural yoghurt and crème fraiche. The gentle layering of secondary elements (hazelnut, biscuit and almond meal) builds shape and body. Pristine fruit and impeccable oak yield linearity and focus to a palate with stunning length and persistent, fine texture.
