Trophy for Best Shiraz

Wirra Wirra is proud to share that our 2022 RSW Shiraz has been awarded the Trophy for Best Shiraz (Three Years and Older) at the 2024 McLaren Vale Wine Show.

Each October, McLaren Vale’s leading producers submit their most distinguished wines for assessment by a panel of respected judges from across Australia and abroad. The show is recognised as one of the country’s most significant regional wine awards, celebrating wines that speak clearly of their variety, vineyard provenance, and the unique sub-regional tapestry of McLaren Vale.

To have the 2022 RSW Shiraz emerge at the top of its category is a wonderful recognition of the work of our vineyards, growers, and winemaking team. Their commitment to ‘maximum attention’, vinifying in smaller parcels to honour the individuality of each site, sits at the heart of the RSW style, and this Trophy is a reflection of that approach.
